The exhibition “Dreiklang 1906 | Triad 2026” explores the artistic legacy of the 20th century and its significance for the present. It brings together the distinct artistic positions of Fritz Ruoff, Anton Stankowski and Victor Vasarely with the contemporary perspective of Gfeller & Hellsgård, representing the younger artistic position. The exhibition examines how their engagement with abstraction, geometry, seriality and screen printing continues to resonate in contemporary art.
Gfeller & Hellsgård speak with curator Simon Santschi about their own artistic practice, the possibilities of screen printing, and current developments in printmaking and contemporary art. The conversation also explores how historical techniques and visual concepts can be revisited, further developed and transformed into new artistic contexts.
